A rare opportunity to launch an object into space: The Israeli Space Agency, in the Ministry of Science and Technology, invites you to offer an item that the State of Israel will be sent to the moon as part of the Artemis program, in which NASA will launch the Orion spacecraft into orbit around the moon.
what’s the matter? As part of the Artemis 1 mission, NASA will launch the “Orion” spacecraft into orbit without astronauts next year, 50 years after the last landing on the moon in 1972, in order to test all systems and ensure their safety before a manned mission.
The Artemis program includes the development of long-term plans, including the establishment of the moon as a base for astronauts to travel deep into the solar system. In honor of the beginning of the exciting journey that will be launched in November 2021 – the Israeli Space Agency has the unique right to attach to the spacecraft’s journey a number of symbolic and small items, which will be seated with us at the end of the journey to the moon and presented to the general public.
