Olivia Colman did not speak to Crown heir Imelda Staunton, but sent her back to success as Queen.
Colman, 46, completed his two-series version of the regal drama Netflix when season four began in November.

Staunton, 64, will be replaced in the last two seasons, playing an older version of The Queen.
Colman, who won an Oscar and received great praise from the monarch, said, “she would not give up any advice to Staunton.
She told the Radio Times: “Me? I have not spoken to Imelda and would not be happy to offer any advice about playing the Queen. Imelda is amazing and she is going to do a lot better than me. I can’t wait to see what she does. “
When Colman was Queen, the Crown addressed key moments from his reign, including the Aberfan mining disaster, the marriage of The Prince of Wales to Diana, the Princess of Wales and the capital of Margaret Thatcher.
Colman, who took over from Claire Foy, said one of the biggest challenges of playing the Queen is resisting the urge to cry during emotional scenes.
She said: “The Queen is as strong as steel, which I think is amazing. She is superhuman, which is a long way from me. Living in a stock mindset has always been a challenge because I am very emotional and cry a lot.
“When someone says sad, there are tears. If I see a picture of a puppy, I will shed tears. I feel like the Queen would naturally want to do that, but she doesn’t have permission, so I didn’t. ”
