The UK records 210 more coronavirus deaths in acute falls but new cases remain high

recorded an additional 210 Covid-19 deaths Saturday.

This is down from 570 the previous day while 1,968 cases rose to 34,693, the government said, citing partial data.

The latest R number is estimated at 1.1 to 1.3, the government said.

The UK has recorded a death toll of 70,405, defined as those who die within 28 days of a positive trial.

Under that measure, it has the sixth largest tax in the world, after the United States, Brazil, India, Mexico and India.

A wider measure of those who die with Covid-19 on their death certificates puts the UK death tax at 79,349.

It comes as a chief medical officer has said that coronavirus has been re-diagnosed with an act done too late to save lives and livelihoods.

Andrew Hayward, professor of infectious epidemiological diseases at University College London, and a member of the advisory committee of the Government’s New Respiratory Virus (Nervtag) Risk Management Group, said thousands of lives would have been saved if the Government had two-week implementation of Break-circuit Locking when experts receive advice in September.

He said a move like this would also have done less damage to the economy than the four-week closure the Government explained on Saturday.

Professor Hayward was at a meeting of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) on 21 September which recommended a half-term cycle break.

“I think countries like ours that have not controlled Covid have seen the highest death rates and the biggest impact on the economy,” he told BBC Radio’s Today program. 4.

“And, I think we have disrespected Covid again and done too little too late, in fact, to control the virus and life. and save a living. ”
