Amanda Kloots shares photos from last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero

Amanda Kloots posted a photo from last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero on Thursday.

Sadly, Cordero died earlier this year at the age of 41 after suffering complications from COVID-19, a disease his wife regularly recorded with Instagram followers.

Despite suffering such a sad year, Kloots, 38, hit a good note when she thought of 2020 with several photos from happier times.

‘We were so happy to be together for the holidays’: Amanda Kloots posted a photo from the last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero on Thursday

‘Merry Christmas everyone,’ Amanda began in the long caption with a hearty emoji. ‘I know this Christmas looks different for many of us. A year has been filled with losses in many ways. I have found that focusing on what I have done has really helped me.

‘I start the day with positive thinking and go to sleep counting my blessings. It is not always easy, but it will always be helpful. Gratitude breeds hope. I would also say, you don’t want time off. Time is precious, even when it is difficult. ‘

‘I love this picture of my family last Christmas. It was without a doubt my favorite Christmas I can remember. Elvis was just six months old, our little Christmas gift from God. We were so happy to be together for the holidays. ‘

Amanda has been keeping memories of her late husband on her Instagram account ever since she passed away in July.

‘I love that Nick is with me in many places; the ocean, a beautiful vase, an urn and now on my hand. Nick went to Stephanie for all my jewels, he knew I loved her designs! I have the wedding and engagement ring from her so this ring is very special to me. ‘

Kloots tied the knot with Cordero back in 2017, and welcomed their only son Elvis Eduardo, one, last year.

She recently considered spending her first Christmas without her husband and the father of her child, who died in July at the age of 41.

The Talk guest posted a photo to Instagram of Cordero holding his little boy, writing: ‘One of my favorite photos of Nick and Elvis.

This was the last Christmas. My family went down to South Carolina and they had a real Hallmark style Christmas at the @montagepalmettobluff. I will never forget. Hey your close relatives. ‘

Cordero was diagnosed with the coronavirus back in March, spending the last three months of his life in hospital.

Doctors hit his leg because of a blood clot caused by complications with the virus in April, and gave him a tracheostomy tube in May, after he developed ‘holes’ in his lungs. ‘

Cordero died July 5, 2020. Kloots wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘God has another angel in heaven now. My husband died this morning. He was surrounded in love with family, singing and praying as he quietly left this land. ‘
