The Israeli series that upgraded our 2020: By the end of 2020, it can already be said with confidence that it has not been particularly successful in terms of health, economy, our social life, national resilience, government coordination, culture and leisure. However, on one level 2020 has managed to surpass itself – the original content plot.
In a year when we had to shut ourselves in houses for long periods and become armchair sweet potatoes of the kind that already know how to grow sweet potatoes themselves, the field of original productions has seen a real boom. The Israeli productions – a commendation especially to those of “Here” – were one big celebration of powerful plots, filmed and executed exemplary by our best actors.
It seems that the global corona crisis has actually given a huge boost to the field of series, many of which are being filmed these days and will become next year’s crop. To sum up the year in which we watched the smaller screen than ever before – get the 2020 Outstanding on Israeli television.
Lock time

Those who chose to see through the flaws, foresaw one of the most important series ever produced here. Yes, that much. A work that dared to delve into one of the most painful wounds in the country’s history, a traumatic event on a collective level that changed the face, spirit and character of shaping Israel. The tank battles of “Lock Hour” are a masterpiece of suspense, horror and horror. And they give those who are lucky not to be there, at least for a few moments in each episode, the ability to experience the awful feeling of being caught on a battlefield.
Whatever you say about it, “Lock Hour” swept an entire country, presented an excellent cast and excelled in effective photography, editing and soundtrack. More importantly, it brought to the fore the discussion of that accursed war, of those who fell in it, of the prisoners and those who returned from the battle, some of whom are still haunted.
