Audi A3 sedan returns after disappearing for a long time
-
The price has skyrocketed and will also cost NIS 14,000 from the sportsback
-
The performance S3 will cost about NIS 370,000

The rest of the specs are exactly the same as the Sportback, including a 1.5-liter petrol-supercharged engine (150 hp) with a light hybrid system (48V), a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. The maximum is slightly higher (232 km / h, 8+ km / h) thanks to a lower drag coefficient.
shopping list: The equipment is the same as the Sportback and this means that despite a price tag of 212,000 shekels, much more than large family cars and even more than super-equipped family cars, there is no reversing camera here that has become almost a must, no split climate control and no adaptive cruise control. Want these? Pay NIS 222,000, another NIS 10,000 beyond the base version. What is there? Digital dashboard (10.25 “), touch screen (10.1”) and manual gear levers. Safety equipment includes autonomous braking and lane departure correction.

What else you need to know about her: Other changes over the standard A3 include stiffer suspensions, a slightly lower body (1.5cm), a different brake booster and larger disc brakes. Has improved support upholstered in leather and Alcantara, and a flat steering wheel at the bottom.

What we think: Sedan versions of luxury compact models are not particularly popular with European audiences, and even in Israel are always considered a kind of half-and-half choice. On the one hand, a luxurious model that places special emphasis on design and image, on the other hand, a conventional sedan that gives up the unique design element in favor of a “regular” trunk and a more matter-of-fact silhouette. Mercedes has not been marketing the A-Class sedan here for several months and will only return it in mid-2021 and Audi has not marketed the small sedan here for some time either.
This is because car prices in Israel require many to think first and not just from the heart. And it seems that Udi does the same when they decide to build a product that suits the local market, so they regularly give up requested equipment in favor of saving a few thousand shekels, even though these are luxury models. And it’s a shame.
