After the third film in the long series has been scribbled, there may be hope again for more of Carrie Bradshaw and her friend.
HBO Max is considering a new limited edition version of Sex And The City, but this time without Samantha Kim Cattrall, Page Six reported Tuesday.
According to a well-placed business owner, Cattrall, 64, is not interested in returning to the series after years of public controversy with series star Sarah Jessica Parker, 55.

In addition to Cattrall, Parker is expected to return, along with the other top actresses: Kristin Davis, 55, who plays Charlotte, and Cynthia Nixon, 54, who plays Miranda.
Cattrall ‘s absence should come as no surprise, as she has repeatedly stated that she is no longer interested in returning to the franchise.
The original series ran from 1998-2004, followed by two films in 2008 and 2010.

Back in October 2017, actress Filthy Rich told Piers Morgan that her third film Sex And The City would not be appearing with her.
‘Not for me. That was part of the 60’s turn. That was a very clear moment of how many years I have left and what do I want to do with it? What did I not do? ‘mused i.
She also raised the feelings of many fans that the franchise went downhill with his last two films, with the second film being marked for further criticism.

In September 2019, Parker told Entertainment Tonight that she was interested in filming ‘some Sex And The City events,’ although she refuses to revisit the term.
‘I wouldn’t say it’s a re-visit, I’d say it’s a “re-visit,” she said.
‘I’d like to see where they all are,’ she continued, adding that the characters could go against all the ways in which culture has changed since the end of the 2004 series.
She believed that the evolution of ‘technology and social media’ could create fodder for new stories, and changes in ‘sex politics’ and the development of the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up were worth exploring.
‘I think Carrie Bradshaw would be just as greedy to share her feelings and thoughts,’ she said.

It seems that Parker and Cattrall ‘s long public controversy would make it impossible for Cattrall to return to the party.
Their biggest conflict came to light in 2018, when Matthew Broderick’s wife shared her condolences with Cattrall in an Instagram comment following a report of her brother’s death.
Cattrall looked furious and responded to the comment in a separate post.
‘Your continued arrival is a sad reminder of how ruthless you were then and now,’ she wrote.
‘Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already), she continued. ‘You’re not my family. You are not my friend. ‘

Over the years, Cattrall has said many of their disagreements were about money.
In 2008, the Telegraph reported that Parker received executive producer credit (which does not necessarily imply additional responsibilities or creative control) that raised her salary by an additional $ 300,000.
