Priyanka Chopra shared the new trailer for her upcoming film The White Tiger on Monday.
The 38-year-old actress posted the trailer for the new drama, which will be released on Netflix on January 22, to her Instagram page.
The film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Rahmin Bahrani, is based on the famous 2008 novel of the same name.

The White Tiger features Adarsh Gourav in his first major role as Balram Halwai, who shares his dark comedy story about his ascent from being a poor little town to being a powerful entrepreneur in the modern day India.
He links his success to working as a servant to a master who can give him fame and power, Ashok (Rajkummar Rao) and Pinky (Chopra), who have both just returned to India from the United States. .
‘I want to be a driver for your son,’ Balram tells Ashok’s father after he travels to his estate.
The trailer reveals the class gap that separates them, as Ashok’s father reaches out to stop his son from trying to shake Balram’s hand.

Pinky introduces Balram shortly afterwards and she seems more willing to be her companions.
Ashok joins her in another scene and jokes about his new driver for not seeing a computer nearby.
‘Since I was a boy, the desire to be a servant has been ingrained in me,’ Balram says in a statement over a brief flashback of a sad childhood.
He seems to be building a strong relationship with Ashok and Pinky, but the two turn on him after being involved in a horrific car accident.

After a one-night party, the two seem to want Balram to let them take care of the car while he sits at the back.
Priyanka’s character is behind the wheel and looks like an alcoholic while she doesn’t notice someone crossing the road and running over them, killing them.
Suddenly, Ashok’s family seems to respect Balram, but just because they’re trying to pressure him to sign a confession saying he was the only one who driving.

In addition to starring in the White Tiger, Priyanka is also actively making the film, alongside Selma director Ava DuVernay.
The director, Bahrani, is best known for a series of acclaimed neorealist dramas, including Chop Shop (2007) and Goodbye Solo (2009).
Priyanka has a busy year, as she will be featured in Robert Rodriguez’s children’s superhero film We Can Be Heroes, which will appear on Netflix on Christmas day.
She is also currently filming the romance Text For You, and will be appearing in the upcoming fourth film Matrix.
