In homage to the Wright brothers, NASA shares a photo of ‘Where it All Started’

The official Instagram account for NASA posted the image on December 20. Read the caption explaining the image, “Where it all started 117 years ago! From the forts of Kitty Hawk to the surface of the moon. The post also stated, “After several unsuccessful attempts, on 17 December 1903, the Wright brothers completed their first flight by air-heavy aircraft known as the Wright Flyer. The flight lasted just 12 seconds, traveled 120 feet, and reached a top speed of 6.8 miles per hour.
