As a result of the outcry, Sony released a full remake of digital copies of the game and took the unprecedented step of tuning the game from the PlayStation Store on Thursday night. As of this writing, the game has not returned to the front of Sony’s store.
Microsoft is also offering rebates for digital versions, though the game is still available for digital purchase. CD Projekt Red has also promised to pay a refund for the retail purchase of the game “out of our own pocket if necessary” if players submit refund requests before December 21st.
