House of the Dragon is expected to hit HBO Max in 2022.
HBO Max
After a cessation of amazing movie and TV commercials, it looks like we all have no choice but to sign HBO Max. In a new sizzle reel mocking next year’s climb, we’ve learned that the Game of Thrones House of the Dragon prequel series will hit HBO and HBO Max in 2022.
The series, based on George RR Martin’s two-volume history documenting the rise of the dragon-friendly Targaryen family, was already on the 2022 release date, but this is more official proof.
Set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon features Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower. You can read a little more about their characters at the official HBO House of the Dragon update page.
