Watch Animal Collective in the distance doing ‘Rain In Cups’ together

Animal Collective have released a new live video of their song ‘Rain In Cups’, from the band’s latest EP ‘Bridge To Quiet’.

The split show, filmed at a distance, sees each member – Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist and Deakin – play the sprawling song, eight minutes from their homes.

‘Rain In Cups’ opens the four-track ‘Bridge To Quiet’, which arrived digitally back in July this year. The new live video comes with news that the EP will be released on vinyl for the first time early next year via Domino – head here for more information on that.

Back in October, the band revealed that they were working on new materials, telling fans via social media that they were “deep in the process of recording new songs”. The final studio album at the 2016 experimental costume was ‘Painting With’.

In a review of ‘Painting With’ when the album was released, NME He said he saw Animal Collective “reconnecting with their pop records and coming up with a warm punctual record”.

“Overall, Painting With is a boring, lurid way, almost too much to introduce, eroding the natural environment. And it will survive in the countryside. ”
