Elbit has won two $ 65 million procurement contracts for the Dutch army

Elbit Systems Announced today (Wednesday) that it has won two procurement contracts from the Ministry of Defense of Netherlands For the Dutch army in the amount of $ 65 million.

The first contract is a continuation of a $ 50 million deal to supply additional digital soldier systems and mounted systems, as an extension of the Dutch Army’s modernization program, and is for three years.

Under the contract, Elbit will provide digital soldier systems that include a smart vest, with small digital radios and tablets with command and control software and tactical devices for vehicles. Integration systems will also be provided for vehicles with improved network combat capabilities, including TORCH-XTM infantry command and control systems and E-LynXTM software radio systems. Elbit’s digital communications and command and control systems have been selected for operational use in the past by a number of armies around the world, including the IDF, England, Australia, Spain, Switzerland and others.

The solutions to be provided were designed to meet unique requirements set by the Purchasing Manager at the Dutch Ministry of Defense (Defense Material Organization) and tested in the field by Dutch Army soldiers.

The systems are manufactured at Elbit Systems’ Alask plant located in Sderot.

This contract joins previous contracts in the Netherlands in the areas of Digital Soldier and Network Warfare Systems, mainly under the Soldier Modernization Program (VOSS).

The XACT nv32 system is compact and lightweight, with an adjustable helmet adapter and provides high-resolution night vision capability in harsh weather conditions, while reducing deviation from the line of sight. The XACT nv32 system is suitable for foot soldiers and mounted soldiers, special forces and law enforcement forces. Elbit Systems’ XACT product family is in operational use in a number of NATO countries, including Germany, as well as in the Israeli and Australian armies.
