New owners of Dorilton Capital have been reviewing the business since taking over from the Williams family in August with a view to restructuring and strengthening divisions across the board.
They have chosen Capito – with four decades of motor and automation experience, to lead the team into a new era, with the Germans taking full responsibility for the day – to – day running of the company from February 1, 2021.
He will report to Williams Chairman Matthew Savage, and Roberts – who has been Acting Team Principal since Claire Williams left after Monza – will report directly to Capito following his permanent appointment.

Capito has been a huge success in the World Rally Championship, winning both driver and builder competitions for four years in a row as Volkswagen’s Motorsport Director.
