‘Undo Tweet’ Twitter trial feature for paid users: Report

Twitter could work on a “tweet undo” feature specifically for their paid subscribers to allow them to remember their tweets that have a typo or other error. The new development could be the company’s response to the mass-demand editing option that has not yet been delivered on the microblogging network. It could also appear as one of the reasons for getting people to join Twitter at a certain level of regular fees.

Rear engineer Jan Manchun Wong tweet about the detected tweet feature that appeared on a membership screen. It allowed users to turn on a recent tweet. This is in contrast to the existing tweet function which removes a particular tweet from being visible to all Twitter users.

Wong has shared a screenshot showing the anonymous tweet feature. It has not yet been released to the public, however. She also suggests it would be among the features that Twitter would give to its paid subscribers in the future.

CNET reports that Twitter has confirmed the new feature. However, it is not clear whether the test is limited to a specific area.

Gadgets 360 has reached out to Twitter for clarity about the development. This report will be updated when the company receives a response.

Earlier this month, Wong shared a GIF recommended ‘Undo Send’ timer for tweets to start as soon as a user presses the Tweet button and lasts for a few seconds to allow them to tweet remove.

The revenue of the tweet may help people who are usually bothered to post tweets with typos. However, it is not something that could be edited, which has been in high demand from Twitter users for a long time but is not yet a top priority.

In addition to the previous tweet feature, Twitter has considered introducing new modules such as Super Follows to allow people to receive a monthly membership fee from their fans to send them exclusive content or newsletters. The company unveiled their plans for the membership model in a tweet thread aimed at investors earlier in the month.
