The Ferrari 2020 Formula 1 season was their worst in several decades, and Sebastian Vettel’s last season was with the team as well.

They didn’t have many of their main seasons. Runner Charles Leclerc finished second in the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring out as one of only three podium finishes for the team all year.
Leclerc also finished third in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit while six-year-old Sebastian Vettel officially runs with the team making his way to Aston Martin for 2021, finishing in third place in the Turkish Grand Prix at Intercity Istanbul Park.
When the dust finally settled, greatly relieved, the 2020 17-race season ended with a pandemic shortening as the worst for Ferrari in decades.
They dropped four positions in the builder ‘s standings to finish sixth, marking the lowest finish since finishing all the way down in 10th four decades ago in 1980.
While Leclerc was in the mix for fourth place in the drivers ’stand throughout much of the season thanks to making the most of the SF1000’s tractor finish, he finished about last in eighth place. But even that was something positive considering where Vettel ended up.
The four-time world champion, who scored nearly half of his 2020 points through that singles podium finish, finished 13th in the drivers ’position, marking the worst finish for a Ferrari driver since finishing. Didier Pironi in the 13th back in 1981.
Will Ferrari be back to running at the front in 2021, with Leclerc to return and Carlos Sainz Jr. ready to leave McLaren and join him as Vettel ‘s replacement, or will it be more of the same for the Scuderia next year before the new cars are introduced in 2022?
