Shanaka named as T20I captain, Lakmal replaces Kumara

Sri Lanka have named a 20-man squad for the cross-legged leg of their tour of the West Indies.

The Sri Lankans will be without Lahiru Kumara for the white ball tour, with the sailor ruled out after a positive test for COVID-19. He has been replaced by fast soldier Suranga Lakmal.

All-round Dasun Shanaka has been confirmed as the side captain for all three T20Is, starting March 3 at Coolidge Cricket Ground (CCG), taking the reins for the first time since October, 2019.

Dimuth Karunaratne will captain the teams in the three ODIs, starting March 10 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium (SVRS).

The 20-man squad will not be short of experience, with the likes of Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Dinesh Chandimal and Niroshan Dickwella all included.
