“He’s the best player he’s ever made this season.”
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has announced his selection for the best player in the Premier League in the 2020-21 season.
Ferdinand won Red Devils star Bruno Fernandes and named Aston Villa ‘s Jack Grealish as his outstanding player in the league.
Grealish has been in top form for Dean Smith’s side during the current campaign. The 25-year-old has scored seven goals and assisted Villa in 12 in all competitions.
His advantages on the pitch have inspired his team from relegation fighters to contenders for a European place.
Villa are currently eighth in the record on 36 points, just four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
Earlier in the season, Villa sent an impressive wave throughout the sport as they overcame the Reds 7-2 at Villa Park.
Grealish was instrumental in the tie, scoring two goals and giving up three assists as Jurgen Klopp’s side conceded seven goals in a game for the first time since beating Tottenham 7-2. Hotspur in 1963.
Jack Grealish has created 166 Premier League chances since the start of last season, just Kevin De Bruyne has created more.

Ferdinand: Grealish is the best player in the league.
Ferdinand spoke to BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage and compared the various players that the England national team could use as No. 10 for the upcoming Euros.
Savage went on to ask Ferdinand what players he would pay to watch and the 42-year-old quickly named the Irish under-21 as his choice.
“Grealish. I love seeing it, ”Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“If I’m going to watch a player and I put him at No. 10, I want to see someone move past people, attract people to them, create a place for other players and then get support and goals. .
