The distribution of The Prince’s family’s annual Christmas presents in the Palace courtyard was all about Princess Charlene and her new haircut.
Royals are not particularly famous for their elegant hair styles, but Princess Charlene has always been famous for her unconventional style choices. If the Princess’s previous haircut – a bob with short braids – had people talking, so would her latest hairstyle. At the annual Christmas gift delivery in the courtyard of the Palace of Monaco, the Olympic swimmer was spotted sporting an edgy underground pixie. Standing behind the traditional Christmas market stall account, Princess Charlène distributed Christmas presents to nearly 700 children, ages 5 to 12, with the help of her children, the hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

Throw it back in the 80s
Princess Charlene has played short hair before. It’s not the length as long as the hair, but the dull underside and the shaved left side – probably royal at first. The hairstyle is a clear ode to the 80s and punk movement, with a dash of Rihanna singing Stay. Whatever the motivation, we honor the boldness of the Princess.
