People across the UK report seeing a “meteor fireball” in the sky

People across the UK have reported seeing an amazing “fireball” meteor.

The space giant was spotted lighting up the night sky at just before 10pm on Sunday.

The UK Meteor Network, which monitors meteor scenes in Britain, said it had received hundreds of reports – with many people forcing social media to share their videos.

He said in a post on Twitter: “The reports are streaming in, 120 so far and counting. From the two videos we saw it was a meteor moving slowly with a crash that was clearly visible. “

Meteor scenes have been reported in London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Bath, Liverpool and Devon and Cornwall.

One witness in Birmingham described it as a “huge fireball”, while others said they heard a “sizzling sound” as it moved through the sky.

Another Twitter user said: “Honestly I couldn’t believe my eyes! The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen was like a bonfire. I’m excited !!!”

A Liverpool star said: “Did anyone else see that meteor flying over the skies in Liverpool? I thought I saw things like the rage of a fireball flying over the sky. . ”

And the astronaut said: “Okay I may be going crazy but I swear I saw as … the brightest hunting star / meteor? Looks like a firecracker but coming down from the skies?!?! Can anyone else in London / Essex see anything? I freed myself. ”
