Orocobre reports no injuries, just minor damage from an earthquake near Naraha plant Toronto Stock Exchange: ORL

BRISBANE, Australia, February 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE, TSX: ORL) (“Orocobre” or “the Company”) advising that, following an earthquake late on Saturday (February 13, 2021, JST) off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, workers at the Naraha Lithium Hydroxide Plant are not injured.

An initial inspection of the plant by the construction contractor, Veolia Jenets on the morning of February 14 found some damage to the site office but found no visible defects in plant equipment. In addition, there is no damage to site infrastructure services.

A further inspection will be carried out on 15 February to confirm initial observations and to ensure site safety prior to the commencement of construction.
