Finn returns

All this conversation about a fiendish Finn, it’s like the villain has returned from the dead – and this week he does (sort of). The callous character emerges as an image of Susan’s imagination as she chokes with her nemesis while immersing herself in a search for the book that tells her side of the sinister story.

Tempted by trawling through Finn’s video diaries, Susan is advised by doctor David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) to try vision therapy to manage her memories at the hands of a homicidal maniac. It works a little too well, as Suze finds herself talking to Finn who suddenly appears in a Canadian kitchen. At first the lies give a sense of control over the bad memories as Susan can face the past – until things become urgent…

Susan misses the plot

As the week progresses Susan’s mental health spins as Finn’s scenes range from a strange comfort to a distracting one. Telling Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) that she is talking to a dead man is raising alarm bells for her friend who asks her to tell her husband Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), which she refuses to do so.

Neighbors get all the horror movies when Susan thinks of Finn lying dead in a swimming pool, a terrifying reminder of his grim drowning. Pushed over the edge, Susan finally confesses everything to Karl and realizes that she has to throw Finn out of their lives once and for all – for the sake of her hygiene. But will it be that easy?
