MagSafe accessories for iPhone 12 that you can buy now: Chargers, cases, wallets

New Apple iPhone 12 lineup came with a return feature but updated MagSafe. The fast charging feature works both through power through standard Qi wireless charging on iPhones (15 watts vs. 7.5 watts). There’s also a magnetic knob to optimize alignment for better cost – similar to how the magnetic charger works on the Apple Watch.

Of course, if you have a magnet that can be the center of a snap-on charger, that same magnet can be used to connect other types of devices to the iPhone 12, too (timeless shapes – and not so good – Moto Mods). Apple may also have plans to use the magnetic system to allow IPhone back wireless charges other resources as AirPods – similar to a feature found in the latest Samsung Galaxy and OnePlus phones. Does that mean the iPhone maker is jumping into speculation transitioning the iPhone from electronic to USB-C, and choose to jump directly to MagSafe instead? Your measure is as good as ours. But one thing is for sure: With Apple allowing MagSafe for third-party manufacturers like Belkin (see below), expect more MagSafe resources on your way.

One caveat is the Effect of MagSafe charger on credit cards. Placing a card between the iPhone and the MagSafe charger can cause damage. Apple warns users to remove any cards with magnetic strips or radio slips such as a credit card, transfer card, or hotel room key card from an accessory wallet before charging the phone.

This is the new MagSafe Charger. It knots on the back of the iPhone 12 to make sure it’s in the right place to start charging. The MagSafe Charger connects to a power source via a USB-C connection.

The clear case of iPhone 12 allows owners to use the MagSafe features without having to remove the case every time. It also uses “clear and flexible polycarbonate materials” so you can hold the phone while showing its color. Cases come in different sizes for the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Max.

For those who want a little more grip on their cases, the iPhone 12’s Silicone Case fits the bill. It also comes with the same MagSafe functionality as the clear case and is available in sizes that fit the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Max.

Wallet cases are very handy, but they can be a little bulky. Apple’s iPhone leather wallet addresses that issue by sculpting the back of the phone directly.

One MagSafe Duo was one MagSafe accessory announced at the Apple Event. The pad has two chargers, one for the iPhone 12 and the other for the Apple Watch.

Apple’s slim leather covers both the front and back of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro but has a cut that lets you tap the screen to take a look at the time. There’s a credit card or ID pocket and a strap to keep your device nearby, which Apple says offers protection without adding bulk.

Otterbox designed a line of MagSafe compatible cases for the iPhone 12. Called the Figura series, the thin case is made of flexible, soft material and raised edges to protect the phone’s camera and screen.

The Otterbox Aneu series is similar to the Figura series with a minimalist case design.

Belkin has one device for handling all wireless charges for Apple’s power user. Its 3-in-1 charger takes on iPhone 12, Apple Watch and AirPods all at the same time with a sleek design.

Belkin, an accessory maker, is working on its own MagSafe connections including a car dock and an iPhone / Apple Watch combo charger. Apple took a quick look at the dock during its unveiling event, and Belkin has posted a few more details on its website, including pricing.

Pitaka is one of the first third-party manufacturers to make a magnetic case for the iPhone 12. The case has a redesigned carbon fiber texture and is compatible with MagSafe accessories.
