The LPGA will release a record $ 76.45 million in official prize money in 2021 with 34 events recorded across three continents next year.

The trip looks to kick back after a Covid-19 pandemic hit its 2020 record, forcing it to cancel several events, including the Evian Tournament, one of the top five women’s golf majors .

“We can all agree that 2020, while not our 70th anniversary, was a year we will never forget,” said LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan.

“As we look to 2021, we are catching up on the trend we had at the start of 2020 and are excited about our future, which will include news of new title fans and several large increments of purses. “

The prize fund for the 2020 season had previously been valued at $ 75.1 million.

The trip said its annual swing in Asia had to be pushed to the end of April and beginning of May due to the pandemic.

The first full-field event in 2021, the Gainsbridge Tournament, will run from Feb. 25-28 at a hosting center in Florida, which has yet to be decided.
