Liverpool score Brazilian Wonderkid compared to Neymar

Santos sports director Jorge Andrade has revealed that Liverpool are scoring the Brazilian surprise Angelo Gabriel.

The 16-year-old has only been playing professional football for a few months, but the Reds are already keeping an eye on his situation and development.

Angelo followed in the footsteps of Pele, Robinho, Neymar and more at Santos, becoming the second youngest striker in the club’s 108-year history.

The promoter signed his first professional contract in December last year and is tied with the Brazilian side until December 2023.

However, his contract reportedly has a € 60m release clause, and Andrade has said Liverpool have already made known their interest in the youngster.

“Angelo is a boy who has been growing up, developing and (the scouts) is definitely watching him,” he told Radio Bandeirantes, via HITC.

Before you continue Liverpool’s interest: “Not only Liverpool but other teams in the European market as well.”

Speaking of which, Angelo has not proven his desire in Europe at some point in his career, and he believes that England or Spain could be the best place for him.

He said: “I would be better off in La Liga or the Premier League because they are leagues that have a physical game and that require a player to break lines with unpreparedness, passing and dribbling. ”

While his former coach was Betinho, the man Angelo first discovered as an eight-year-old, he believes Neymar has the qualities of a former player.

He said: “It reminds me of Neymar for drifting at speed and changing direction. A very interesting player who comes forward and clarifies.”
