Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy may be getting concrete release dates and up-to-date information very quickly, according to new worklists at Warner Bros.
Montreal’s WB Knights of Gotham probably getting new information pretty quickly. New to-do lists reveal that Warner Bros. looking to hire people who can effectively help market games like Knights of Gotham and The Legacy of Hogwarts, revealing that the studio is preparing to double down on both titles.
Knights of Gotham released last summer at DC Fandome and showcasing a new side of the Batman universe in video games. After Batman’s death, the team at Red Hood, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl are up for grabs City of Gotham safe and apparently going after the Ominous Owls Court. The game can be played alone or in co-op and will be a special guide for WB Montreal to take, especially after the team’s work on Batman: Origins of Arkham.
Details have been scarce since the game was announced but WB seems to be preparing to showcase both Knights of Gotham and The Legacy of Hogwarts, An RPG set in the Harry Potter hemisphere. James Sigfield marked on Twitter (via ComicBook.com) WB employs an “Associate Brand Marketing Manager” and an “Application Specialist”. Both will help to play key roles in marketing for both of these titles, which may mean that the publisher has a good idea of when both titles will be released and wants to start more. focus on it through marketing and get the game ready for release.
The Legacy of Hogwarts it was delayed until 2022 but as WB becomes bullish about mapping marketing strategy it may still release in the first half of next year. Unless WB is planning its own event for the spring, similar to DC Fandome, it is very possible that the company will provide concrete release dates for both HLegacy of ogwarts and Knights of Gotham at an E3 digital event (or summer-related event). This is a real profit but as WB has to hire people and develop an in-house marketing strategy, it will take some time for this to be seen by the public.
Nevertheless, it shows confidence in both titles. If WB is designing a proper marketing roadmap for Knights of Gotham and The Legacy of Hogwarts, it means the company has release dates for both titles. Delays are possible, of course, but they are unlikely to get big push unless something goes wrong accidentally and can’t be fixed. That said, both games seem to be coming sooner rather than later.
