MasterChef co-hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode have confirmed that they are not friends outside of work.

The pair have co-presented and judged the BBC’s culinary show together since 2005 and have received rumors that they will not get along when the cameras stop rolling.

Torode, 55, has now once again told the Radio Times: “It is well documented that we do not communicate outside of work. We have never been in the homes of others who We never cooked for each other.

“We spend a lot of time together, sharing a lot of things: emotion, food, stress and changing people’s lives. And 17 years on, it’s still a relationship that’s calm and in a good position. I I think it’s an amazing thing. “

Wallace said: “We trust each other completely. We feel safe together. We know the other person won’t go – on camera, at least – mocking the another man.

“We will not fight for space. We will not fight for time. There is no ego issue.

“People are very interested in my relationship with John. I think because we’re so friendly on screen, it’s hard for them to understand why we’re not so friendly off-screen. “

But the pair emerged even though they keep the relationship completely professional for so long – they always share one meal together when filming away from home.
