It makes no sense for ‘Boba Fett’s Book’ to be ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3

The Mandalorian ended yesterday not only with (a massive spoiler following) a huge cameo from CGI Luke Skywalker, but a post-belief scene in which people picked up so much.

Recorded, Fennec and Boba Fett return to Jabba Palace in Tatooine, murdering everyone including Bib Fortuna in bloom, and Fett taking the throne of a crime lord. We’re left with a teaser: BOBA BOOK FETT – DECEMBER 2021.

This response has divided the Star Wars community into two separate camps, one that Boba Fett’s Book is considered to be a new series starring Fett and Fennec, the third Mandalorian spin-off as well as Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic.

The other idea is that The Book of Boba Fett is the season 3 Mandalorian, that our Mando arc is over after the delivery of Baby Yoda, and Fett is now taking over as the Mandalorian title for stories new. Fans will combine the usual “chapters” of the last two seasons of Mando with Fett’s “book” as a new one going forward.

I see all aspects of this, and Disney has not shed any light on this at all, leaving it a mystery without confirming which idea is correct. All they’ve said before is that Mandalorian season 3 will arrive before Christmas, which may play into the theory that Fett is now in charge, but it is also a reason Fett ‘s show could start when Mando’ s season 3 comes to an end, or they could air. at the same time.

Ultimately, I can’t resist the notion that The Bobal Fett is the Mandalorian 3 season. Here’s why:

– The end of season 2 Mandalorian set stories for Mando’s future. While Grogu’s arc may be over, (though I’m sure we’ll see it again), this weekend established a grand Mandalore arc that has nothing to do with Fett. Mando now owns the Darksaber and claims to be the ruler of his people, and even if unknowingly, he puts him in direct conflict with Bo-Katan. Moff Gideon is still alive and we don’t know what happened to Mandalore that allowed him to get the Darksaber in the first place. We also don’t know what his midi-chlorine tests were trying to do.

– I don’t think Disney wants to lose the connection that fans have with this custom character series, whether it’s Grogu and Mando themselves, obviously, or others like Cara Dune and now, Bo-Katan if it ends again. There is no reason for Pedro Pascal to retire after just 16 events when Disney Plus has a place nine another Star Wars show, so why not ten with Fett’s?

– Also, uh, Boba Fett is not Mandalorian, and he said that last program completely. It is a clone with a Mandalorian weapon on it. It doesn’t even make sense to direct an exhibition called “The Mandalorian,” technically.

Basically, I think the Mandalorian has been too successful with the current series to be sent out to graze and taken over by Fett after just two seasons. That’s not like something Disney would do, even though the branding of Fett’s show is confusing. Obviously, both shows could go overboard, and I’m sure we’ll see connections between all the other productions from the Mando era, but at the heart of it, it just doesn’t make sense that Fett would taking over the series. Add to this a bunch of whiskeys from intellectuals that, these two are unique, even though Disney doesn’t say that out loud, I’m sure we get both. Probably at the same time, but as individual groups.
