“I will kill Yair Lapid the Rat”

A resident of Beit Shemesh was arrested today (Monday) for police investigation immediately upon landing in Israel, on suspicion of threatening to harm the chairman of Yesh Atid Yair Lapid.

The suspect, a 30-year-old from Beit Shemesh, recently spoke out against the chairman of Yesh Atid through a talkback on the Internet that he intends to harm him, even at the cost of his imprisonment.

An investigation opened following a report received by the police revealed that the suspect was staying outside the state borders, and today as stated upon landing at the airport he was arrested and taken for questioning. Tomorrow, the police are expected to ask the Jerusalem court to extend his detention.

Also, eight months ago, former coalition chairman Mickey Zohar complained that he and his family were being threatened. The writer wished Zohar to be killed in an accident and that his children would suffer from serious illnesses. “I think death is right for you is to be burned alive,” he continued, “I am ready to burn you and your children. Hope they will put a charge in your car when you are with them. A perfect gift.”
