Hello and welcome to our live broadcast of this year’s Golden Globes concert, glad you could join us. The Hollywood awards season may have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but now is the time for the first big show of the year, and here we are.
The event of 2021 is somewhat significant, with the guests and presenters appearing in person, the nominees taking in from the comfort of their sofas. But while the red carpet will be much quieter than usual, we still expect the stars to lock it up for Instagram and we’ll share any photos here.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hosting for the fourth time, but this year from separate coasts – Fey will be live from the Rockefeller Center in New York while Poehler will be performing from a typical LA home south- usual, Beverly Hilton Hotel. The Hollywood Foreign Media Association, the body that oversees the awards, has said it will invite a limited number of frontline and essential staff to the ceremony.
The ceremony takes place from 1am UK time, so get ready for your drinks and snacks and join us for our evening broadcast.
