Fan recreates a scene-by-view trailer of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ using just LEGO blocks!

One of Hollywood’s most anticipated films this year is Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick. And while it’s still months away, it recently created an online buzz, thanks to a fan-made trailer. Reason? Well, it’s all built using LEGO pieces – from the fighter jets to ships and the whole landscape seen in the video that made everyone talk online.

Augustus Danko, a US fake filmmaker who goes by the name OnBeatMan on his social media profile, recently shared the results of his team’s hard work over the past few months – and it’s surprising that put on everything, including the film’s producers. In the video, which recreated the original trailer of the film, everything was taken from scratch. Using stop-motion with additional lighting effects, the team carefully built it frame-by-frame and did an excellent job and netizens can’t stop going around like them.

As the man used minifigures to represent the characters of the film, the precision and attention to detail gained, including Pete Mitchell in his famous Maverick flying helmet, earning online recommendations. “This was created 100% independently out of my love for Top Gun, cinema, and LEGO,” the talented artist wrote while sharing the video.

Of course, the raspberry work would not have been possible without the support of other LEGO enthusiasts and visionary creators. As the video began to spread online, Paramount Pictures, the film’s producers, also took to Twitter. Presenting toes in the style of Pete Mitchell, the film used GIF from the trailer to add value to it. “Incredible. one of the best ever made, ”wrote the production company.

Just in case, you want to see how it compared to the actual trailer of the movie, Danko also released a side-by-side comparison with the comparison of the original trailer.

And if this trailer left you wanting more, it has also reproduced some movie scene using LEGO blocks. From Star Wars to Harry Potter, you can catch up on his work on his YouTube channel.
