Elections on the way: Ron Huldai hints at his political future

As the possibility grows that Israel will go to another election, for the fourth time in two years, more and more names of senior figures are emerging as those who may run in the election in a new or existing framework. One of the names that comes up frequently is that of Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, who has long been mentioned as someone who might leave the Tel Aviv municipality and join national politics.

This morning, Huldai wrote on Twitter what appeared to be a hint of his future: “The country is on the verge of another closure because Bibi Parch and the government are not functioning. But do not despair … soon …”

As you may recall, a few months ago it was reported that Huldai would form a new party together with former Chief of Staff Gadi Izenkot. Will Khaladai really run in an independent framework, or will he join one of the center-left parties like Yesh Atid or Blue and White.

In early October, Huldai said in an interview with News 12 that he intends to get involved in political life: “When there are elections I will be there,” he promised. “I do not know with whom or how, I deal with the bureaucratic problems that will allow me to be there when the time comes.” He even noted that “if I see that being number 2 contributes to the replacement of this terrible regime the answer is yes”.
