Condà © Nast has unveiled the new global content strategy, leadership teams and structure. The company transforms its creative operations to better serve audiences and advertising partners by hiring global leadership teams to their stormy brands. This new strategic approach to content creation places a key focus, across the company’s global brand portfolio, on quality and accessibility. The overall redesign and investment in editorial work will change how the creative teams create, share, translate, adapt and distribute content across platforms and formats. By strengthening each brand’s ability to bring together talent and the best in journalism and storytelling across a global media infrastructure, the company will meet more effectively with advertisers and audiences where they are now and where they will be in the future.
Leading the transformation is Anna Wintour, who has been named chief content officer for the company, worldwide. Wintour will now also be global editorial director on Vogue while continuing to oversee Vogue US Christiane Mack, chief content operations officer, who has largely been responsible for the unification of the creative teams across video, digital and print, following the inauguration, reports to Wintour and Condà © Nast Entertainment president Agnes Chu to continue to embrace the release of the global operating model.
Condà © Nast has also appointed global AD editorial leaders, Condà © Nast Traveler and GQ, with the remaining global brands to follow in early 2021. Global integration of brand editorial teams with the logos will allow the latest version create the best of both worlds. a story or piece of content and distribute it in custom ways for each local edition. The global editorial leaders will continue to oversee the editing of the title in their home market as well as their new global brand responsibilities.
Amy Astley will be the global editorial director of AD, Divia Thani will be the global editorial director at Condà © Nast Traveler and Will Welch will be the global editorial director at GQ.Â
Thani is the Editor in Chief of CN Traveler India, a position in which she ???? s has been around since CN Traveler India was launched in 2010. Prior to that, she worked as a Feature Editor at Vogue India. She was also the Lifestyle Editor for Time Out Mumbai and the Advertising Manager for L’Officiel and Seventeen Magazine in India. Thani summa cum laude graduated with a degree in English from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She received the Robert C Laing award for Creative Writing, and the prestigious Brackenridge Fellowship from the University’s Honors College.
For Vogue, Edward Enninful will be the European editorial director for the markets owned and operated by Condà © Nast, which includes the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain. Similarly, Simone Marchetti was promoted to European editorial director of Vanity Fair, including the editions published in France, Italy and Spain. The US and UK Vanity Fair editions will be reviewed by editor Radhika Jones.
The deputy editorial directors for AD are Condà © Nast Traveler and GQ Oliver Jahn, Jesse Ashlock and Adam Baidawi, respectively.
