Brimag opens a chain of electrical stores under the Metro brand

The importer of electrical appliances and electronics in Ryamag is opening a chain of electrical stores this week under the name “Metro” (METRO), with an investment of about NIS 10 million.

In the current quarter, 12 branches will be opened, five of them in the coming week: in the Beer Yaakov mall, in Afula, Ashdod, Shoham and Kfar Qassem, when it comes to stores in areas ranging from 70 square meters to 140 square meters.

Brimag updates that the branches of the Metro chain will be opened by the group and “through business partners from the retail sector”, which will operate according to the new business model, after the company canceled the competitive procedure it announced in recent months.

As part of the business plan, the Brimag Group plans to open more than 20 metro stores by the end of 2021, with the goal of reaching 100 stores across the country. Brimag also notes that the branches will open as “City” stores, in city centers and shopping centers.

The Brimag Group is an importer of international electrical and electronics brands, including DeLongy, Beko, Brown, Kenwood, LG, Panasonic, Bebilis and more. Earlier this month, Brimag reported that the company’s CEO for the past five years, Pini Cohen, would retire on July 31.
