Anderson Cooper wishes he could have a baby sooner while saying his father is ‘amazing’

CNN Emmy-winning anchor Anderson Cooper has been a father for seven months, after welcoming his surrogate son Wyatt Morgan, with a surrogate, earlier this year.

And, on Friday, the 53-year-old doting father opened up about parenting in an interview with Bruce Bozzi on Quarantined at SiriusXM with Bruce.

As Cooper thought of waiting for a baby to feel ‘really ready,’ he admitted that he wished he had ‘done it sooner. ‘

He wondered: ‘I love every aspect of it and it’ s just the greatest thing ever. And I just feel like I was, what was I doing before? ‘

Ahead of hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve with Andy Cohen for the 4th time in two weeks, he thought of hating the previous holiday.

However, after ‘CNN needed someone one year’ to host almost two decades ago, he said he was’ volunteer ‘because’ it’s a bad night to go out in New York in general. ‘

‘I started working on it and found out that I love being in Times Square on New Year’s Eve,’ he said.

Over the summer, he talked about how his father had changed, like encouraging him to meditate in the morning instead of scrolling through Twitter.

Speaking to WSJ. In an August issue, he said his son – who was already sleeping 12 hours a night thanks to his ‘amazing nurse’ at the age of four months – gave him a new purpose in life.

‘It has all changed,’ he admitted. ‘I often feel like I’ve been waiting for my real life to start – it’s weird because I’m 53 years old – but… I’ve been really focused on get to somewhere, get a story. Since I aim for it, it commands everything. ‘

He also said he will usually be able to squeeze in 30 to 45 minutes of meditation before waking up his little one, who sleeps on the floor above him.

‘I live in a 110-year-old fireplace in New York and I’m on the third floor and it’s on the fourth floor. So I go up and wait around to make noises and then go into his room to be there, ‘Anderson said.

His startup has also caught Anderson on coffee – enjoying a cup of Dunkin ‘Donuts – to make him go in the morning, admitting he’s been skipping breakfast because of being on a diet fasting.

‘I’ve got a hold of coffee, I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. I let go of one or two coffees a day: iced, black and nothing else because that doesn’t break down so quickly, ‘he said.
