A man and a woman were seriously injured in a car accident at the entrance to Nof Ayalon

On Hasmonean Boulevard (Modi’in), near the entrance to Nof Ayalon, a serious car accident occurred recently (Saturday) between two vehicles. Two firefighting and rescue teams under the command of Lahav Nissim Pony rescued a man and a woman from the vehicles and transferred them for further treatment by medical officials.

MDA medics and paramedics treated three wounded and evacuated a 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old man and woman to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer after they were trapped in the vehicle and rescued by the fire when they were in a vague consciousness, with multiple systemic injuries, and another 65-year-old man. From the second vehicle in mild to moderate condition with bruises on limbs.

MDA paramedic Arie Myers said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw two crushed vehicles, in one of the vehicles a man and a woman were trapped. While rescuing them from the vehicle we provided them with life-saving medical care, they were in a vague consciousness and suffered a multi-system injury. From the other vehicle, the driver, a 65-year-old man, came out conscious, he suffered injuries to his limbs.

Examiners from the Israel Police Traffic Division are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
